Firstly thank you for visiting our site, we hope that you enjoy your visit.
My name is Erika and I live in Llanharry in South Wales.
I live with my long suffering husband Dean and our two children. We have a nice big home which we share with all our pets whom you'll be introduced to later on.
I have always had a love of animals since being a baby and have regularly helped out many animal rescue charties.
I work part-time at my vets in Newport (the boring but essential job of Accounting) which leaves me plenty of time to be home with the family. More information on my vets can be found by clicking the picture below to visit their website.
My addiction to Ragdolls began after we lost our third cat who disappeared. We really wanted another cat to join our family and keep our first rescue cat Apollo company. After losing two cats, we really wanted a cat we could keep indoors, we also knew the cat would have to be great with children and be able to get along with Apollo who at nearly ten years old can be a little grumpy (like most older males :P ). We knew we were asking alot for any animal so we spent just under a year researching different breeds and visting lots of different breeders before we discovered the Ragdoll Breed. As soon as we meet them we knew they were the breed for us. And this is how it all began.

For me, at first I was more than happy with my pets and the occassional show but as time went on and my love and respect for this breed grew, I have decided to take up the challenge of breeding them. For me, Ragdolls are the future of cats as lots of people who love cats, have been put off having another due to the heartache of losing them to circumstances of modern life. But here is a breed that is more than happy to stay indoors, they have all the love and loyalty and need of compainship as a dog but without the need for walking, thrive in a family enviroment, perfect for todays modern lifestyle. And also to those who have a love of dogs but who's lifestyle isnt compatible with owning a dog, here is a cat with all the same benefits of having a dog with all the benefits of having a cat instead.

So with my future breeding plans in mind, I will always put this wonderful temperment and personality first and for-most. All my mums and dads will have been choosen first for their temperment, then health, then for breed standards. Although I love showing and my end goal is to be able to show a cat I have bred at the Supreme Show, just because a particular cat has all the right markings but its temperment and personally is far from the true Ragdoll nature then I personally will not breed from them. I personally agree with the late Ann Baker who originallly bred Ragdolls, I see them for their unquie personality traits and look to breed them for this reason, These are my own personal views and are here just to explain to you all why I have taken up this challenge. I also love the Flame (aka red) and tabby series (I know I am in a minority who love the torties but I always like to be different) and hope to continue and by working with others develop this line of Ragdolls.
Anyway as this is my first step on this new path laid before me, I hope you will enjoy sharing my journey and will come back for all my regular updates.
